This is an institution in the Berlin jazz scene. Since 1992, the best international jazz artists have performed here. Small place, so make sure to reserve seats. Staff is friendly and the drinks are of high quality.

A must-visit spot in Berlin if you're a jazz fan. I used to go to A-Trane 15 years ago when I lived in Berlin, and they seem to keep delivering the same high-quality experience after all this time. Top jazz musicians and great sound quality is what makes A-Trane stand out. The place is tiny, so the setting is intimate: very close seats to the stage and to other people around you. The entrance fee of 25 Euros doesn't include any drinks and it's good to know that their service is pretty slow. I waited twenty minutes for a bottle of water and Moscow mule which didn't look nor taste like a Moscow mule. For this reason I removed one star but I still highly recommend it to any jazz lovers.

Went here on a Saturday night and paid 15€ for a performance by what was probably the worst band I've ever heard. The saxophone and clarinet players sounded like they had just started learning how to play. You'd think that a premier jazz club in Berlin would be better at screening the acts which perform there. The good beer options are the only thing that prevents this review from being one star. If you want a better experience, skip this place and listen to good jazz for free at hat bar.

We didn’t know the artist before we went to the bar but randomly and luckily catched the famous garry wiggins band!!! I recommend to make reservation before. it’s very packed inside and if you don’t make reservation, there is no chance to sit... Very nice Jazz-bar, quite expensive and crazily packed but it was incredibly nice performance!

Too crowded. They sell too many tickets, visitors almost sit on each other. And due to no AC there’s no air to breath. The service is also very slow. Overall experience is bad. That’s a shame because the musicians did their best.
